In commenting to another blog, it occured to me to post this as it is one of the best ways I've gotten inspiration.
When I can't solve a problem or figure something out, I go somewhere creative. Often it is in a natural setting, because nature is an amazingly creative environment. Other times I will go somewhere like a museum.
Once I solved a complex, "impossible to solve" business issue by going to a very amazing museum. I became totally immersed in the museum, and in a quilt exhibit, no less, got a new answer to try with my old business problem. It worked, and in the end I profited greatly by it.
So if you are stumped, go somewhere creative - it's a great way to look at things with new eyes.
