What Can I Do For YOU?

While reading some email I ran into a blog kept by Gary Vurnum, who is an internet marketing wiz. I learned of Gary through CoachVille and have taken a few teleclasses with him. What he posted really struck me because I totally agree, and have seen the power of this business philosophy -- in fact it is one of the tenets of my business. Gary posts:

This One Question Can Open Doors For You...
It's something that I learned from a mentor of mine...

"What Can I Do To Help You?"

That question has probably opened more doors for me than anything else.

Why?

Well...isn't it just the complete OPPOSITE of what most people say?

They're either too self-obsessed, or too busy trying to sell you something to actually CARE about what YOU want!

My advice is to just TRY THIS... see if it works for you.

Yet...if you ASK someone how YOU can help THEM...you'll certainly get SOME form of answer...once the surprised look has left their face!

You see...people aren't used to other people being GENEROUS!

They aren't used to other people actually CARING.

They aren't used to other people actually OFFERING something instead of trying to TAKE something first.

The power of this one sentence cannot be underestimated.

Sure...from YOUR perspective...it requires a 'leap of faith' in the process that what you 'put out' WILL come back at you.

Well...it DOES.

As long as you actually do it with the RIGHT intentions!
