Sales Activity

Michael Stammer commented that:

When you know your baseline activity and the conversion ratios that go with them, then you can concentrate on what is needed to increase effectiveness.

So true! Focus on learning what is needed activity-wise to get the results you desire, then figure out how to get to that point.

I know that I need to meet with ten decision makers each month and I also know how many potential referral partners as well as actual referral partners I need to talk with.

Do you know your activity numbers? If not, talk with someone who can guide you on this. A good, solid sales manager should be able to, but many don't. Find someone outside of your company, even outside of your industry - just remember that success leaves clues. There are successful professionals you can talk to who will offer you ideas.
