Never Confuse Activity With Accomplishment

This is a saying I have on my desk -  Never Confuse Activity With Accomplishment - it was told to me years ago. How true then and now.

Hugely successful business consultant, author and speaker, Dan Kennedy, has some great words about taking action -

We do a lot and get a lot done. I’m amazed and dismayed at how little others make happen, hour by hour, day by day.  Here’s a good question: if I came to your business on a field trip and followed you around all day, every day, for a week, how impressed and in awe would I be at…

Everything you do everyday to attract new customers?
Everything you do to convert leads, to get more value from leads?
Everything you do to analyze your business everyday?
Everything you do to nurture the relationship with your customers?
Everything you do to manage your time effectively?
Everything you do to improve your knowledge and skill?
Everybody you associate with?

It's definately something to think about and create goals toward if you find there is some amount of improvement needing to take place in some of these areas.

The good thing is that it is never too late to improve (I'm listening as I'm writing this, too....) What areas are you working on? One improvement I just made is to implement a new time tracking program, from Spud City Software -  inexpensive and very easy to use.
